Paul (vocals, gtrs, bass and keyboards) and Ammar (percussion, vocals, keyboards and engineering) first met in London in 1994 when playing in an Irish psycho-country band "the Grainstormers". Both are keen songwriters and musicians and formed a natural duo, recording their present album, Something's Going On from 2000 at Head in the Hand Studios in South London.
Their music features an eclectic mixture of gorgeous ballads, hard rock and jazz funk. Ampule's influences include Nick Drake, Jeff Buckley, Sting, Santana, James Brown and the Eagles.
They have been featured in Viewpoint magazine and are writing their second album.
